How do the two locations compare to each other? Is one better than the other?

Both locations have amazing views, staff and food. The biggest difference is the age groups they serve.

Blue Sky (formerly Mt. Evans) and Windy Peak are true “sister camps”.  Jefferson County Public Schools own both facilities and use them throughout the school year for outdoor programming for students within the district.  We are lucky to have them as partners and honored to enjoy the sites for the summer to host our Overnight Camps!

We are incredibly lucky to call these locations home for the summer!  Camp Blue Sky, with over 520 private acres surrounded by several thousand acres of protected land, provides ample opportunities for adventures to happen on-site or within a short drive.  Highlights of the property include a historic barn, wildlife center, covered wagons, a 100+ year old lodge, a brand-new dining hall, a full-service clinic, on-site rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, backpacking, and so much more!
Windy Peak
Camp Windy Peak is just as stunning, nestled on over 210 acres adjacent to the Colorado Trail in Bailey, CO. It boasts historic buildings, the Kiwanis Astronomy Center, a trout-stocked pond, a modern dining hall, cabin accommodations, and breathtaking views everywhere you look through the valley.  We simply cannot resist the amazing recreation opportunities nearby for our older campers to enjoy, including the incredible trails at Buffalo Creek, the fresh crags at Staunton State Park, and the incredible oasis of Wellington Lake to enjoy all summer long.
