Avid4 Adventure was founded with the mission of reducing children’s screen time by engaging them in meaningful outdoor experiences, and that commitment remains at the heart of what we do. We believe that unplugging from personal devices gives kids the space to build confidence, form real connections, and fully experience the joy, challenge, and wonder of being outside.
To support this, campers are not permitted to use personal technology (including phones, tablets, or similar devices) during camp.
At the same time, we recognize that technology can play a thoughtful and limited role in outdoor recreation and safety. Our staff use select tools, such as navigation apps and emergency communication devices, as part of our comprehensive approach to risk management.
In rare and intentional moments, we may introduce campers to specific technology that enhances outdoor skills (for example, digital navigation tools). These experiences are always purposeful, supervised, and directly connected to the learning at hand; never for entertainment or general use.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: help kids unplug, try something new, and connect with the world around them. Technology will never replace those experiences.
