Dear Avid4 Families,

I’m thrilled to introduce our Path2 Expeditions program, a groundbreaking program blending the best of our day camps and expedition ethos into one transformative experience for campers in 4th–6th grade. At Avid4 Adventure, we believe every child deserves the chance to discover their inner explorer—to climb higher, pedal farther, and camp under stars that ignite their curiosity. And as the Chief Program Officer, I’m so excited to share this new program with you!

Campers will enjoy the best of both worlds:

✅ Day Camp Adventures – classic camp activities, games, and team challenges

✅ Expedition-Style Thrills – outdoor skills, exploration, and exciting missions

This unique experience is designed to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for adventure—all while having an unforgettable time over the course of one week (Monday thru Friday). 

During the first three action-packed days, campers will build confidence in Avid4’s core outdoor sports, kayaking, mountain biking, and stand up paddleboarding, while also learning essential camping skills like packing smart, setting up a campsite, Leave No Trace principles, and even whipping up a simple outdoor meal. This foundation ensures they’re prepared to thrive during the 2-day/1-night overnight in the backcountry at Camp Blue Sky, where they’ll rock climb on natural formations, cook under the stars, and sleep in Colorado’s pristine wilderness. 

We’ve heard from families like yours that balancing adventure with busy schedules is no easy feat. Our extended hours for this program (9AM-5PM) mean your camper spends more time building skills, while you get peace of mind knowing they’re safe, engaged, and thriving in Colorado’s great outdoors. Plus, every detail (gear, meals, safety management) is handled by our team, so you can focus on what matters most: watching your child grow into a resilient, outdoor-ready explorer.

This program bridges Avid4’s proven Day Camp and Expedition models, seeking to empower countless young adventurers to engage day camp enthusiasm with expedition readiness. Each day campers will build skills and confidence that culminates in a stellar overnight experience with their peers. I’ve seen firsthand how the outdoors spark independence and joy in our campers, whether it’s a first-time climber conquering a rock face or a camper proudly pitching their tent.
